Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
This month is all about promises! The God who loves you and made you can be trusted because He never makes a promise He doesn’t intend to keep. He told Moses he would be with him long before he sent any plagues or parted the Red Sea. God may not speak to us through a burning bush as we’re tending sheep but He DOES give us His word. We can rest in the promises we find there and trust that He is with us. As you prepare to teach your children this week, ask God to remind you of the times in the past when has proven He is with you. Thank Him for faithfulness and ask Him to help trust Him more and more in the future remembering that [Bottom Line] God keeps His promises.
As your leaders prepare to leave, ask them the key question and say the bottom line together.
