Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
Hiding a newborn baby, placing him in a waterproof basket along the riverbank, approaching the princess who found that basket and rescued baby Moses – those were all BIG jobs that required bravery. Miriam and her mother had NO idea how any of these scary situations would turn out. But God did. And He was there to help them. Your preschoolers will face big jobs too. They may look different to us as adults, but they are no less scary to them. Starting a new school, making a new friend, or speaking to an adult are all scary jobs for preschoolers that require bravery. Let’s remind them this week that just like God helped Miriam and her mother, God will help them too! Who can help you be brave? [Bottom Line] God can help me be brave.
