Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
For years, God’s people waited for the promised Messiah. And when Jesus made his entrance as a baby born in a lowly stable, this Messiah was the last thing anyone expected. Jesus grew up just like the little ones in your small group. At 30, Jesus began his ministry. He performed miracles, healed the sick, raised the dead and generally turned the religious establishment on its ear. We can read all about Jesus’ life on earth in not just one, but FOUR gospel accounts. Thanks to these accounts, we can know for sure that Jesus came, he lived, he died and ROSE again so that we could have a relationship with God, forever. As our memory verse reminds us, these things were written so that you may believe in Jesus. Who can believe in Jesus? [Bottom Line] I can believe in Jesus.
