Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
When Jesus had finished teaching a large crowd from a fishing boat, he told Peter to head back out into the deep water to throw out the nets. At first, Peter protested, explaining that they’d just been out all night long, without catching anything. But then, in the very next sentence, Peter said. “But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” In the midst of his doubt, Peter still chose obedience. When they let down their nets, they caught SO many fish that they had call in for reinforcements to collect all of them. What an amazing miracle! But we should be surprised because Jesus can do things we can’t. Let’s share this BIG truth with our little ones this week: [Bottom Line] Jesus can do anything.
