Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
When we think about the people we love, who makes the list? Friends and family of course. But what about our coworkers or our neighbors? Does our love extend to the people who are harder to love, or to those who have hurt us or let us down? How about loving our enemies? This month, we’ve looked at three different times when Jesus showed love to people that others judged as unworthy. Thankfully, Jesus response in each of these encounters was love. Remember, the only reason we can love others is because Jesus loved us first. (1 John 4:19). As you lead in your classrooms this week, let’s encourage our children to love others like Jesus did because [Bottom Line] Jesus loves everyone.
