Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
Can you imagine what it must have felt like for Gideon to be chosen – as the youngest member of the least important tribe – to lead an army against such an organized formidable foe? And not only that, but to be forced to whittle that army down from 32,000 to a mere 300 men? But Gideon chose to trust that [Bottom Line] God’s way is perfect. And the same is true for us. It might always make sense. We might not always feel like following His way, but [Bottom Line] God’s way is always perfect.
As your leaders prepare to leave, ask them the key question and say the bottom line together.
