Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, September 8, 2019. This is considered week two of the September curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about how God made land, plants, and seas on day three. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Go on a hike with your child. (Walking in the backyard totally counts.) As you walk, talk about how God made the land. Big mountains, prairies filled with grass, deserts of sand–God made it all! Ask your child which is his favorite and why.
Tuesday: It’s most important for us to trust—for ourselves, and for our kids who are watching. After all, we can choose: https://theparentcue.org/choosing-to-trust-in-the-moment/
Wednesday: Play a counting game. See how many trees you can count as you drive. You can also do this with colors of leaves. See how many trees with red, orange, yellow, or green leaves you can count. Talk about how God made all the trees on day three.
Thursday: One thing I admire about you is . . . // Caption: Fill in the blank and encourage your preschooler with your words today by reading it to them. Or download and print out postcards from https://theparentcue.org/resources.
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/341354144
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, thank You for another day with [child’s name]. We’ve been talking about how You made the land, plants, and seas. Help us remember You when we look at everything You made. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
