Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, November 10, 2019. This is considered week two of the November curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: David and Jonathan become the best of friends. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Make some cookies together. As you bake, talk about your child’s friends. Next, either invite some of those friends over to play and eat the cookies, or deliver the cookies to them. It’s a great way to show friends how thankful we are for them!
Tuesday: Like driving, the best time to teach a kid about social media is before they use it. What does that look like from a practical sense? https://theparentcue.org/why-kids-crash-on-social-media-and-what-to-do-about-it/
Wednesday: Brainstorm a list of five things you are thankful for that you may see as you drive (trees, animals, people, etc.). Use the list to play a game in the car. Mark the items off as you find them, and thank God for them.
Thursday: Who are you thankful for? Save this image & send it to someone who has helped you in your parenting journey. A friend, your child’s SGL, a teacher, a grandparent & let them know that you are thankful for them.
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/353921486
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, thank You for giving us good friends like (name your friends as well as your child’s friends). And most of all, thank You for our best friend, Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
