Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Monday, May 28, 2018. This is considered week four of the May curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Monday: In this week’s lesson, Joseph forgives his brothers when his family comes to Egypt looking for food. Watch the video on the Parent Cue app: https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Tuesday: “All it takes is a little bit of intentionality and our lives suddenly get a little bit more epic.” https://theparentcue.org/creating-moments-on-purpose/
Wednesday: Add a plastic bowl and a cup that’s easy to scoop and pour to bath time this month. Encourage your child to fill the bowl with water. Tell your child that Joseph filled barns with food so they would have enough food to eat when it stopped growing.
Thursday: Ask your preschooler three things they’d like to do this summer. Get out your family calendar and schedule as many as you can! Having fun with your kid is the best way to stay connected with them.
Friday: Hide toy food items or empty food boxes around the house. Encourage your child to look for all the food. Talk about how Joseph’s family went to Egypt to look for food. When they got there they found Joseph, and he forgave them.
Saturday: Here’s a sneak peek at what your preschooler’s will be learning in June: https://vimeo.com/259683967
Sunday: Cuddle up with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, forgiving others can be hard, but I know forgiveness is always Your plan. Help us to trust Your plan and forgive others so they will know Jesus loves and forgives them too. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
