The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, May 17, 2020. This is considered week three of the May curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about the return of a prodigal son and the father who still loved him, no matter what. Watch the video on the App

Monday: Get a horn and go outside. Play a game where one runs to a tree, car, bush, etc. while the other blows the horn when they run back. Talk about how the father had a party when his son came back, because he loved him. God loves us no matter what, too!

Wednesday: As you drive or take a walk, ask your child questions like, “Can going to school separate you from God’s love? Can riding in an airplane separate you from God’s love?” Each time you ask a question, answer together, “Nothing can separate us from God’s love!”

Thursday: Have fun making this cute pig plate to remind you of the prodigal son story.

Friday: Add a large plastic bowl and a plastic measuring cup or scoop of some kind to bath time. While bathing your child, encourage him/her to use the measuring cup to scoop and pour water into the bowl and say, “God loves me.”

Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, I love [child’s name] SO much. And that’s how I know how big Your love is for him/her, because You love him/her even more than I do! That is SOOO much love! Thank You for loving us, God. In Jesus name, amen.”
