Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting March 8, 2020

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, March 8, 2020. This is considered week two of the March curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Andrew, Peter, James, and John leave their fishing jobs to follow Jesus in today’s story. Watch the video on the App

Monday: Play Follow the Leader with your child. Take turns being the leader. You can even sit face-to-face and follow each other’s silly faces. Talk about how Jesus tells us to follow Him, and we should because Jesus will always lead us the best way.

Tuesday: Here are a few of the tips to reinforce positive behaviors with our kids:

Wednesday: As you drive, ask your child, “What color is the car we are following?” When the vehicle changes, ask the same question again. Talk about how when we follow Jesus, we love people the way He loves us.

Thursday:  Make the Most of St. Patrick’s Day. Have some luck for breakfast. Green up breakfast with a little food coloring. Why not serve some green eggs and ham? Or how about some avocado toast? But don’t touch the bacon. (No one should mess with bacon.)

Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video:

Saturday: Cuddle with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, following Jesus is the best decision we will ever make. Jesus will always lead us the best way. Please help us keep our eyes on Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
