Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, March 22, 2020. This is considered week four of the March curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about Jesus choosing twelve men to follow Him and become His disciples. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Practice counting 12 objects with your child. Toy cars, crackers, shoes, crayons—there are so many things you can count! Talk about how Jesus told 12 men to follow Him, and they did! Those men became the 12 disciples.
Tuesday: We are all working to manage both fear and anxiety right now – both our own, and our children’s. Here is a blog post to help. https://bit.ly/2Q6kJTG
Wednesday: Give your child two bath toys. Tell him to pick one to be the leader. Show him how to pull one across the bath water or “walk” along the tub, while making the other follow. Talk about how we can follow Jesus by loving people the way Jesus loves us.
Thursday: Encourage your child this week with your words. Start with, “I like hanging out with you because . . .” (It will encourage them to value relationship.)
Friday: Ask your child to pick a vehicle or color of vehicle. As you drive, look for that vehicle/color. Every time you find yourself following one, say this month’s memory verse together. Pick a new vehicle/color each time you drive somewhere new.
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, help us to think true thoughts about following Jesus. I CAN follow Jesus! And [child’s name] can follow Jesus! Because you are with us, helping us to follow Jesus. We love you, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
