Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, March 15, 2020. This is considered week three of the March curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Matthew chooses to follow Jesus and love people, rather than take their money. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Sit and draw people with your child. You can draw everyone from Grandma to your child’s favorite TV character. Write the names of the people under their pictures for your child. Talk about how everyone can follow Jesus—everyone!
Tuesday: Encourage your kids to let go of their hurt and anger by choosing to forgive: https://theparentcue.org/forgiveness-rocks/
Wednesday: Ask your child to pick a toy friend. Tell your child to tell the toy, “Follow me!” Encourage your child to continue telling the toy, “Follow me to [each place you drive].” Talk about how we can follow Jesus by loving people the way Jesus loves us.
Thursday: Catch your child doing something right this week. Start with, “Thank you for . . . “(It will encourage them to express gratitude.)
Friday: Don’t miss this month’s podcast to help parents do family better! Listen to Parent Cue Live! http://theparentcue.org/parentcuelive/
Saturday: Cuddle this month and pray, “Dear God, Jesus is SO good at loving people. He says kind words, helps people, forgives people, and is just the best friend ever. Help us to love people the way Jesus loves us. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
