Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Monday, June 25, 2018. This is considered week four of the June curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Monday: In this week’s lesson, people who followed Jesus shared what they had with anyone who needed it. Watch the video on the Parent Cue app: https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Tuesday: We have instant access to all kinds of research that tell us what we’re doing wrong. This leaves us feeling stressed and afraid. Here’s to letting go of our fears and embrace the truth instead: https://theparentcue.org/overcoming-new-parent-anxieties
Wednesday: Say, “This is the way to bath time! Follow me and do what I do.” Lead your child in hopping, tip-toeing, and crawling to the bath. As you bathe your child say, “I showed you the way to bath time. What did God give us to tell us the way to go?”
Thursday: To be a better parent, you need to take time for yourself. Make a list of things you enjoy doing without your kids. Then do one this week!
Friday: Get a large piece of paper and paints or markers. Invite your child to create a picture with you. Tell him/her you will share the piece of paper with him/her. Talk about how the Bible tells us to share our stuff as you work together.
Saturday: Check out what your preschoolers will be learning in July here: https://bit.ly/2GiCEPu
Sunday: Cuddle up with your child and pray, “Dear God, You have given us so much. Thank You for our home, clothes, toys, cars, and all the yummy food. Please help us be willing to share our stuff. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
