Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting January 26, 2020

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, January 26, 2020. This is considered week four of the January curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Jesus did something only He can do in today’s Bible story when He walked on water. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6

Monday: Take your shoes & socks off and walk on different textures (carpet, grass, rocks, sand, silky blanket, etc.). Name each item and what it feels like (soft, hard, rough, scratchy, smooth). Talk about how Jesus walked on water. Jesus can do anything!

Tuesday:  “Children want the same things we want.
To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained, and delighted.” Dr. Seuss

Wednesday: Show your child how to walk his/her fingers on top of the water. Have fun with it and jump from toy to toy or washcloth to soap bubbles. Talk about how we can’t really walk on water, but Jesus can! Jesus can do anything!

Thursday:  Your kids aren’t perfect. So guide them. Direct them. Instruct them.
But also realize that sometimes they will act their age, and show their humanity. https://theparentcue.org/the-myth-of-the-perfect-kid/

Friday: Here’s a sneak peek at what your preschoolers will be learning in February: https://vimeo.com/375434226

Saturday: Dear God, there is no one more powerful than You! Thank You for sending Jesus to show us Your love and power. Help us believe in the true stories about Jesus walking on water and that He is alive today! I love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
