Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, January 12, 2020. This is considered week two of the January curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Jesus showed us in today’s story that He really can do anything when He filled Peter’s net with so many fish the boat began to sink. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Practice drawing fish together. Make a large cursive lower case “e” and then connect the two ends with a straight line. Draw an eye and a mouth and you have a fish. Talk about how Jesus helped Peter catch A LOT of fish!
Tuesday: “Children are natural mimics who act like their parents despite every effort to teach them good manners.” Mark Twain
Wednesday: As you drive, ask your child about things they can do. Ex: “Who can run? [Child’s name] can run! Who can pick up toys? [Child’s name] can pick up toys!” End saying, “Who can do anything? Jesus can do anything!”
Thursday: None of us would sign up our kids to live their lives without gratitude or joy, yet it’s surprising how many adults live without either. Entitlement does that. https://theparentcue.org/entitled-parents/
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/367051394
Saturday: Dear God, thank You for (name specific things about your day). Some things I need help with are (something you can’t do). It makes me feel so good to know Jesus wants to help me and He can do things I can’t. I love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
