Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting February 2, 2020

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, February 2, 2020. This is considered week one of the February curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Sunday: Today we learned that Jesus loves everyone, even people who are different than Him. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6

Monday: Ask your child to line up several plush animals, toy cars, action figures, or dolls. Ask them what makes each one different from the others. Talk about how Jesus was kind to the woman at the well, even though she was different from Him.

Tuesday:  It’s important to talk to your kids about issues of racism. Here are 4 questions to ask yourself first: https://theparentcue.org/four-questions-to-ask-yourself-before-talking-to-your-kids-about-racism/

Wednesday: When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Good morning! I see someone I love very much. Who do I see?” Grin at your child. “Yes! I see you!” Tickle your child. “Guess who else loves you.” Pause. “Jesus!”

Thursday: “The more you love your children, the more they learn to love others.” A.D. Williams

Friday: Your child is learning the song “I Got A Friend.” Download it so you can sing along at home! http://bit.ly/OK_AllGood

Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to show us how to love. Help us love everyone, no matter where they live or what they look like. Jesus loves everyone, and we can too! We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
