Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, December 29, 2019. This is considered week five of the December curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today we learned how the wise men followed a special star so they could find Jesus and worship Him. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Arrange paper plates face down on the floor. Draw a star on the face of one plate. Tell your child to find the star. Each time they find the star, rearrange the plates and play again. Talk about how the wise men followed a special star to Jesus.
Tuesday: I’m tired of long lists with no follow-through (and the shame that comes with it), so here’s where I am. I’m asking myself this question: “What’s the one best thing I can do to help my family better connect this year?” https://theparentcue.org/your-one-best-thing/
Wednesday: Ask your child to say the memory verse with you! “God has given a son to us.” Isaiah 9:6, NCV
Thursday: Heading into the New Year: https://theparentcue.org/5-new-years-resolutions-every-parent-can-keep/
Friday: Here’s a sneak peek at what your preschoolers will be learning in January: https://vimeo.com/368341240
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, the wise men knew Jesus was special. That’s why they followed the star, worshipped Him, and gave Him gifts. Help us remember how special Jesus is, too, and love people the way He loves us. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
