Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting August 26, 2018

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here.  The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, August 26, 2018. This is considered week four of the August curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Gideon chose to go God’s way, even though he didn’t know what the outcome would be. Watch the video on the App to see what Gideon did and how God’s way is perfect once again.

Monday:  Take turns being Gideon, the leader, as u play “Follow the Leader.” Talk about how God told Gideon to do some things that Gideon didn’t understand, but Gideon still followed God and Gideon’s army followed him, because they knew God’s way is perfect.

Tuesday: Have you ever felt insecure as a parent because you’re looking for the approval of others? Here are a few ways to deal with insecurity as a parent:

Wednesday: Add a fun wind-up bath toy to bath time this month. Each time you wind the toy, ask your child which way he/she thinks it will go. Talk about how we should always go God’s way because God’s way is perfect. Note: Amazon has a large selection.

Thursday:  Have you ever felt insecure as a parent? Maybe you’ve looked around and thought everyone else has this parenting thing down but you? Or you hear so many different takes on the right way to do things that you’re not sure which one is best? Take a minute to admit to yourself that you’re not going to get everything right (even if there were a right way to do things). Your kid doesn’t need a perfect parent, they just need you!

Friday:  Here’s a sneak peek at what your preschoolers will be learning in September:

Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, You are so awesome and wise. I’m so thankful we can trust what You tell us to do, even when we don’t understand. I pray [child’s name] will follow You always. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
