Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, August 25, 2019. This is considered week four of the August curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: In today’s Bible story, Jesus tells a story about a man who builds bigger barns for all his grain instead of sharing it with people who need food. Watch the video on the App https://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Ask your child to sort the canned foods and boxed foods or the mealtime foods and snack foods in your pantry. Encourage them to line them up and count them. Thank God for the food and ask Him to help you share it with people who don’t have food.
Tuesday: When it comes to teaching our kids about trust, there are three things we parents need to remember. Read more here: https://theparentcue.org/the-truth-about-trust/
Wednesday: Add shaving cream to bath time. Once your child has spread it on the bathtub wall or the side of the tub, show them how to draw hearts in the shaving cream. Each time they draw a heart, say with them, “God loves me!”
Thursday: We’ve created an awesome resource just for parents! Download these phase specific guides to Create a Rhythm with your words. https://bit.ly/32Rp026
Friday: Go on a treasure hunt as you drive. Talk about why you think something is a treasure when you name it. End by saying, “The Bible is better than any treasure, because it teaches us that Jesus is alive and wants to be our friend forever.”
Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, we want to love people the way Jesus loves us. One way we can love is by sharing our stuff. The next time we see someone we can share our stuff with, please help us do it. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
