Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting June 9, 2019

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here.  The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, June 9, 2019. This is considered week two of the June curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Paul and Silas showed us in today’s Bible story that we can choose joy even when bad things happen. Watch the video on the App

Monday:Play your child’s favorite songs. Sing and dance along with your child. Talk about how we can sing even when things don’t go our way, just like Paul and Silas did. Singing is one way we can choose joy!

Tuesday:  I really do wish I knew then what I know now. Not that I have all the answers . . . I just think I would be a smarter dad. So here’s some advice I would give to myself if I were starting over as a dad:

Wednesday: As you drive, take turns saying, “Jesus gives me the power to [action word].” When you get where you’re going, say together, “Jesus gives me the power to do anything!” Example action words: love, help, run, smile, hug, clean my room, etc.

Thursday:  Create a summer chore chart for each member of your family … including you! Instead of rewarding with money, mark off each item until you reach the end of the month. Then, celebrate with a BIG surprise like a family trip to the movies or a water park.

Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video:

Sunday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, Your teachings are worth more than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. Thank You for the people who wrote the Bible so we can know Jesus wants to be our friend forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
