Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
This month is all about courage – being brave enough to do what you should do, even when you’re afraid. Lots of things keep kids from doing the right thing. Maybe they’re afraid they’ll get laughed at or made fun of. Maybe it won’t work out the way they thought it should. But when it comes to courage, we need to encourage our kids to get busy doing the right thing and let God handle the rest. After all, He’s the ONLY one who sees tomorrow as clearly as we see the choice right in front of us. Let’s remind our kids that God is in control and we can fully put our trust in Him. He will give us the courage we need. So remember: [Bottom Line] you can do what you should even when you don’t know what will happen next.
