Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Have you ever felt stuck? Maybe the circumstances of life just caused you to feel hemmed in, with seemingly no way out? Think about the Israelites with the Red Sea in front of them and Pharaoh’s army behind. Trapped. Scared. Stuck. Of course, neither army nor raging sea were too big for God. And so He did the impossible, pushing the cloud down to stop the army from advancing and parting the waters so His people could cross on dry ground. When you feel stuck, when there seems to be no way things will ever change or get better, that’s the best time to put all your faith and hope and trust in the one who made you and loves you. Take the next step of faith. Do the next right thing. Then watch Him make a way where there seems to be no way. Because when God is on your side, [Bottom Line] you can do what you should even when things seem impossible.
