Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
When you were a kid, did your mom write your name inside your coat or on the tags of your clothes? If you’re a parent, you probably do this for our own kids too. With or without a nametag, we love to think of things as “ours.” But the truth is, everything we own is really just on loan. That’s why we’re focusing on stewardship – taking care of what you have because it all belongs to God. As you prepare to huddle up with your few this week, ask God to help you see what you’ve named and claimed as “yours” and remember that everything belongs to God.
