Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Forgiveness isn’t easy. But the alternative is worse. Think about it. When someone hurts you and you refuse to forgive, what happens? You stay mad. And bitter. And maybe lose a friendship. Holding on to anger and resentment only hurts you and God doesn’t want that. He knows that choosing to forgive–not because the other person deserves it, but because He’s forgiven you–is the best way to move forward. Because when you don’t forgive, you miss out.
