Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
When Philip asked Jesus to show him the father, he didn’t fully realize who was standing right in front of him. Jesus answered with “Don’t you know me? Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father.” (John 14:9) Jesus left the perfection of heaven to take on a human body that feels pain, loss and isolation so that we could KNOW God. He suffered and died and rose again so that we could have a relationship with the God of all creation, forever. Immanuel, God with us. Let’s lead our kids today to understand that [Bottom Line] if you want to know God, start with Jesus.
