Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
One small lunch, in the hands of Jesus, was multiplied to feed thousands of hungry people. The disciples couldn’t imagine it. They saw the situation as impossible. But Jesus knew that nothing was impossible for God. And that’s a good reminder for us too especially when it comes to serving others. Before we start to discount what we have or shrug off our abilities, let’s remember this one small lunch. God doesn’t need us to have a plan or even all the resources right in front of us. What He needs most is for us to be willing to serve. Remember: use what you have to serve others.
