Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Wouldn’t it be awesome if every time we were faced with the choice to obey, we could see the future outcome? What if we could know for sure from the beginning that our obedience would lead to only good things? We’ll never be able to see the benefit of obedience until we follow through and trust those who lead us by doing what we’re asked to do. We don’t hold the future. But guess what? God does. When we choose to trust and obey, we can rest in the knowledge that He is in control and that He will work all things together for good. That’s why, just like Abraham, we can [Bottom Line] trust and obey even if you don’t know how it will work out.
