Sunday mornings are like game day for children’s ministry. Just like any good coach, gather your team of volunteers for a pre-game pep talk. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion to kick the morning off:
Doing the right thing is pretty easy when everyone around you is making the same choice. But what about when they’re not? What about when you’re the ONLY one choosing to listen, the only one following directions, the only one telling the truth? That’s not quite so easy. As you sit with your kids this week, remind them that when they choose obedience, they aren’t really alone. God is with them and He will give them the courage they need to obey, even when it means going against the rest of the crowd. With God’s help, kids can trust and obey even when others don’t.
