Friends! Cheers to our first official season of XP3 Middle School curriculum for 2019! Are you so excited? Trust me, you should be, because this Spring season is full of amazing content and incredible truth that we think your students are going to love.
This season, we’ve got four different series that look at four uniquely important topics in the life and faith of a middle schooler.
We’re going to spend a couple of weeks talking about prayer in our series called LINK. If you’re like me, then you’ve probably struggled with prayer from time to time. Sometimes you wonder what you should say, or how you should present yourself to God, or even how long you’re supposed to keep talking. Other times you wonder if it even works. When prayers seem unanswered and God seems silent, you wonder if He hears you at all. We’re going to address all of that and more in this two-week series to help your students start to see prayer as their link to God.
Then, we’re moving into the Easter season and walking through some of Jesus’s last days on Earth in our series, BEST FOR LAST. What’s so cool about this series is that it takes a look at five specific moments in the life of Jesus during the days leading up to His arrest, death, and resurrection. As we move through the Easter holiday this year, we’ll be walking through some of the best and last words of wisdom that Jesus shared with His followers. It’s going to be a really meaningful way to remember all God did for us during Easter.
Up next, we’re covering a topic that’s really important, and honestly, potential a little awkward. Yes, that’s right, we’re talking about sex in our series, MADE. I know you don’t need me to tell you how this subject impacts the world of your middle schoolers on a daily basis. We know it’s a big deal in this phase of life, and that’s why we want to take the opportunity to start this conversation in a safe place like your youth ministry. Our goal is to help students understand the way God made both them and their sexuality so that they can approach it in a real and healthy way.
Finally, we’re doing another week in our series called TRENDING, where we cover some tough topics that might be trending in the lives of middle schoolers. This season, we’re covering a subject that’s either something your ministry, students, or community has dealt with in the past or, unfortunately, something you’re potentially going to deal with in the future: suicide. Our prayer is that by walking your students through a conversation on such a difficult and painful topic, they’ll be given fresh hope to navigate a painful subject through a lens of faith.
So that’s it! We’ve got four amazing series that we’re sure will be helpful in challenging and encouraging your middle schoolers in their faith. We can’t wait for you to get started! Find out more about XP3 Middle School and this brand new season of Spring 2019 curriculum HERE.
