Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
Have you ever tried to count the stars? Impossible, right? Ever stood staring up in wonder at a full moon? On day four, God made the sun, moon, and stars. Did you know that if would take one million planet earths to fill up the sun? That’s one big star! And how about earth’s proximity to the sun? The Earth is about 93 million miles away from the sun. If we were just 5% closer, the oceans would boil and the water would evaporate. If the earth were 5% further away, the oceans would freeze. God knew exactly what He was doing when he hung the sun, moon, stars and planets in the sky. As you watch a sunrise or sunset this week, or gaze up at the beauty of the night sky, thank God for His beautiful creation. It truly is amazing. Who made everything? [Bottom Line] God made everything.
