Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
What is bravest thing you’ve ever done? Skydiving? Rock climbing? Bungy jumping? Crawling up the plastic slide at a certain chicken restaurant playground to rescue your 2 year old? When you think about the things you need courage for, prayer is probably the LAST thing on your list. Not so for Daniel. He knew that by praying to God he would face the lion’s den. But that didn’t stop Daniel from continuing to do what he knew was right. God was with Daniel and this gave him the courage to be brave. This week, let’s help our little ones understand that when they need to be brave, they are never alone. God is with them and will help them be brave. Who can help you be brave? [Bottom Line] God can help me be brave.
