Sunday mornings can go at a fast and furious pace. If we aren’t strategic, we can miss key relational connections. Gather your team of volunteers for a brief gathering before the serving begins. Answer any questions about the curriculum and ask for prayer requests. Then read the following devotion before praying for the day:
Of all the encounters Jesus had during his time on earth, what a thrill to have this encounter recorded for us. When the disciples thought that children wouldn’t be welcome, Jesus rebuked them saying “Let the children come to me.” Children are important to Jesus. Children are obviously important to you too. You demonstrate that by choosing to spend your time with preschoolers every week. Thank you for following Jesus’ example and for choosing to love children the way He did. Because you choose to lead a group of crazy, beautiful preschoolers, they have to opportunity to hear that they are deeply loved. Who loves you? [Bottom Line] Jesus loves me!
