Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting October 14, 2018

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here.  The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, October 14, 2018. This is considered week two of the October curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Hagar and her son learn that God hears us and gives us what we need in today’s Bible story. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6

Monday: Take your child to a park. Ask your child to sit with you and just listen. Ask him/her to name all the things he/she hears. Birds? Cars? Dogs? People? Talk to your child about how God listens to us. No matter where we are, God hears us.

Tuesday: Here’s how to nip your kid’s attitude of discontentment in the bud before it turns them into an ugly monster: https://wp.me/p5ijhZ-1Vb

Wednesday: As you drive, tell your child to look out of the window and name places as you pass them. Each time he/she names a place, ask, “Is God with you when you go to the [place name]? Yes! God is with you wherever you go!”

Thursday: This week, make a point to connect with another family member you haven’t talked to in a while. Your child’s aunt, uncle, grandparent . . . Call, Facetime, go visit, or invite them to do a fall activity with you. Give them every opportunity you can to be a part of your child’s life. Your family can play a big part in your child’s sense of belonging.

Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/278048839

Saturday: Cuddle up with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, thank You for hearing us. You are listening to our prayer right now! I pray [child’s name] will talk to You and trust You to give [him/her] what [he/she] needs. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
