Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Monday, May 14, 2018. This is considered week two of the May curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Monday: In yesterday’s lesson, Joseph is put in jail for something he didn’t do yet continues to trust that God has a plan for him. Watch the story on the Parent Cue app. http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Tuesday: “When you count the weeks you have left with a kid, you stand a better chance of making your weeks count.” : https://wp.me/p5ijhZ-3pl
Wednesday: Each time you drive, talk about your plan. Say, “The plan today is to go to the [grocery store, park, church, etc.].” Talk about how God has plans for us too, and God’s plan is always best.
Thursday: Repeat these three basic truths to your baby or preschooler: “God made me. God loves me. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
Friday: Invite a friend over to play. Talk with your child about how he can be a good friend (share toys, serve snack). Afterward, praise your child for being a good friend. Talk about how Joseph was a good friend everywhere he went, even jail!
Saturday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/255792357
Sunday: Cuddle up with your child this month and pray, “Dear God, I pray [child’s name] will trust Your plan and be a good friend to others, no matter how hard it gets. Help me to be a good example of that for [child’s name]. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
