Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, March 24, 2019. This is considered week four of the March curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about how respecting our bodies is one way we can honor God. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Fill a bag with a toothbrush, hairbrush, soap, shirt, and apple. Tell your chid to pull an item out of the bag. Ask, “How can you use a [item] to respect yourself?” Talk about how we use each item to care for our bodies that God made.
Tuesday: Here are a few suggestions for conversation prompts and activities to engage with your kids while you’re in the car. https://theparentcue.org/things-to-talk-about-and-do-in-the-car-with-your-kids/
Wednesday: Turn learning names of body parts into a game! Give your child his/her own sponge or washcloth. Tell him/her to listen closely and wash only the body part that you name. Before long, your child will know the body God made from head to toe!
Thursday: Let your kid know you like them with your words this week. Say things like: “I’m crazy about you. I’m glad I’m your parent. I love time with you.”
Friday: Give your child paper, stickers, and a bag of washable crayons. Tell them to create a picture as you drive. Ask them to share what they created when you get where you’re going. Say, “Wow! You are so creative! God made you creative, just like Him!”
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, Help [child’s name] grow up respecting herself/himself because You made her/him. I know that begins with me. Help me to honor You with my body so I can be a good example. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
