Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, March 10, 2019. This is considered week two of the March curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about how we are smart, creative, and helpful like God because He made us in His image. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Play with puzzles. Affirm your child with words like, “You are so smart!” as they work. When you’re done, ask them to put the puzzle away. As they do, affirm with words like, “You are so helpful! God made you smart and helpful, just like Him.”
Tuesday: It’s always amazed me that many of us have a tendency to communicate least graciously with the people who are closest to us. https://theparentcue.org/how-to-communicate-in-a-way-that-values-the-relationship/
Wednesday: As you drive, repeat “[Person’s name] is fearfully and wonderfully made” using different people’s names. See how many friends, family members, and community helpers you can name before you get where you’re going.
Thursday: Green up breakfast on St. Patrick’s Day with a little food coloring. Why not serve some green eggs and ham? Or, how about some avocado toast? Green pancakes or waffles, anyone? But don’t touch the bacon. You don’t mess around with bacon.
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/304436860
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “God, You are amazing! You created the whole world. You know everything. And You can help us with anything. Thank You for making us in Your image so we can be creative, smart, and helpful too. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
