Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Monday, June 18, 2018. This is considered week three of the June curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Monday: This week, we learned that God says He listens to us when we talk to Him. You can watch the video on the Parent Cue app: http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Tuesday: “Drive time is an opportunity when we can infuse meaning into the every day moments with our kids.” http://theparentcue.org/making-the-most-of-your-familys-daily-rhythm-part-2/
Wednesday: Say, “Let’s play a ‘Thank You’ game. Since the Bible tells us we can talk to God anytime, let’s take turns telling God thank you for things we see outside of our windows on our way to [destination].”
Thursday: Take a drive for no reason other than connecting with your preschooler. Make it a technology- and music-free trip. Point out landmarks, ask them questions, play eye-spy. Take advantage of your captive audience and spend uninterrupted time together.
Friday: Gather these items: toothbrush, washcloth, food item, bedtime favorite, & toy. Ask your child to reach in a bag, pull out an item, & tell you what it is & what time of day he/she uses it. When done say, “The Bible says we can talk to God anytime.”
Saturday: Don’t miss this month’s Parent Cue Live podcast! http://theparentcue.org/parent-link-live/
Sunday: Cuddle up with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for making [child’s name]. Thank You that we can talk to You anytime, anywhere, about anything. You are the best, God, and we love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
