Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, June 16, 2019. This is considered week three of the June curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Jesus tells a story about birds and flowers in today’s Bible story to show us that we do not have to worry. We can have peace. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Pretend to be birds. Use blankets to make nests. Grab a snack to eat in your nests. Talk about how birds don’t worry about where to sleep or what they will eat. God takes care of them. And we don’t have to worry because God will take care of us too.
Tuesday: We often rely on quantity time as a substitute for quality time. It’s not quite the same, though. If it’s not intentional, undistracted time, it won’t build memories in the same way. https://theparentcue.org/quantity-of-quality-times/
Wednesday: Grab a battery operated game for your child to play as you drive. Ask, “What gives your game power?” Say, “Yes, batteries give your game power.” Ask, “Who gives you the power to do everything?” Say, “Jesus gives me the power to do everything!”
Thursday: This week, turn off the TV, put down the phone, and spend some quality time with your children. Tickle their feet until they giggle. Make up a dance in the middle of the kitchen. Play tag outside. Make some memories.
Friday: Don’t miss this month’s podcast to help parents do family better! Listen to Parent Cue Live! http://theparentcue.org/parentcuelive/
Saturday: Cuddle and pray, “Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to give us peace. When we see a bird or flower, help us remember that we don’t have to worry because Jesus gives us the power to have peace. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
