Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, July 14, 2019. This is considered week two of the July curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: “In today’s Bible story, Peter’s friends showed us what it looks like to be faithful. Do you remember what happened when they kept praying?” Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Play with your dog. If you don’t have a dog, visit a family member or neighbor’s dog. Talk about how dogs are faithful because they are always ready to play, even when we’re grumpy or having a bad day. Jesus gives us the power to be faithful too!
Tuesday: Our hope is that our kids will learn to live out good qualities like honesty, trust, courage, patience, and forgiveness. But what’s our role in helping our kid develop these traits?
Wednesday: As you drive, ask, “What gives the car power?” Continue asking what gives things power (radio, cell phone, street lights, anything you see along the way). Say, “When Jesus is our friend, He gives us the power to love people the way He loves us.”
Thursday: Break out the photo albums (or photo app on your phone or computer). Spend some time reminiscing with your child on “the good ol’ days”—even if they were just last week!
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: http://bit.ly/2Ix9hgR
Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to be our friend forever. He is such a faithful friend. Help us follow Jesus so He can give us the power to be faithful too. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
