Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, January 6, 2019. This is considered week one of the January curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today we heard a true story about four guys who carried their friend to Jesus because he needed help. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Preschoolers love playdates with friends. Plan one for your child and talk about specific ways we can love friends the way Jesus does before they arrive. (serve, share, hug, etc.) After the playdate, pray together and thank God for our friends.
Tuesday: How’s your heart? Our hearts help us feel the highs and lows, navigate wonder and mystery, keep our imaginations stimulated and our dreams alive. It is the place where hope and faith live. https://theparentcue.org/new-year-new-heart-2/
Wednesday: When you go into your child’s room this month, sing the following to the tune of the “Happy Birthday” song: “Good morning to you! Good morning to you! Everyone needs Jesus. Good morning to you!”
Thursday: Make time this week to send a text or make a phone call to a grandparent or older adult who has played a significant role in your life. Thank them for investing in you.
Friday: Your child is learning the song “Everybody Praise Him.” Download it so you can sing along at home! http://bit.ly/HHHooray
Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for giving me everything I need. Thank You for the food we got to enjoy today. Please help us to help those who don’t have enough food to eat. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
