Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, January 20, 2019. This is considered week three of the January curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about when Jesus miraculously healed a man who had been blind since he was born. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Gather your child’s favorite toy friends (plush, dolls, or action figures) and a laundry basket. Work together to line EVERYONE up on the couch and then put EVERYONE in the laundry basket. Repeat. As you play, talk about how EVERYONE needs Jesus.
Tuesday: As parents, we are tasked to train our children and prepare them for the world, but sometimes those roles are reversed. Our children become the teachers, exposing us to our own weaknesses https://theparentcue.org/what-parenting-taught-me-about-life/
Wednesday: As you drive, ask your child to name things you will need when you get where you are going. (Ex: Grocery store: grocery list, wallet, buggy, money, etc.) When you’re done listing, ask your child, “Who do you need?” Then say together, “I need Jesus!”
Thursday: Teach your preschooler a short prayer. Recite it with them several times throughout the day and week.
Friday: Don’t miss this month’s podcast to help parents do family better! Listen to Parent Cue Live! http://theparentcue.org/parentcuelive/
Saturday: Cuddle up with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for giving us what we need like water to drink, food to eat, medicine when we’re sick, and most of all for giving us Jesus to be our friend forever. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
