Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, February 3, 2019. This is considered week one of the February curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today we learned that children are just as important as grownups. Jesus wants children to come to Him because He loves them. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Grab a 4×6 picture of your child. Look at it together and say, “Hey, let’s play a game! I’m going to hide this picture, and you have to find it. When you find it, hold it up and say, ‘Jesus loves me!’ Ready? Close your eyes. It’s time to play!”
Tuesday: Life brings tragedy and heartache. What words do you say and how do you comfort your grieving child? https://theparentcue.org/huddle-in-close/
Wednesday: When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Good morning, [child’s name]! Today is going to be a great day because Jesus loves you! Who loves you? (Say with child) Jesus loves ME!”
Thursday: Set out to discover what makes your child feel the most loved and secure. Then, spend some time this week being intentional about filling up their love tank.
Friday: Your child is learning the song “Cool.” Download it so you can sing along at home! http://bit.ly/HHHooray
Saturday: Cuddle up with your child and pray, “Dear God, I am thankful Jesus thinks children are just as important as grownups. I pray [child’s name] always knows he/she can go to Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
