Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, December 1, 2018. This is considered week one of the December curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: We learned about how Mary and Joseph were the only ones who knew Jesus was God’s Son, as they welcomed Him into the world, while sleeping in a stable. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Make your own manger scene at home using a baby doll, couch cushions, blankets, and stuffed animals. Talk about how Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem and there was no room, so they had to sleep in a stable. And that is where baby Jesus was born!
Tuesday: Christmas is about 7 minutes long when you have kids. Here are three simple ways to make sure you don’t miss Christmas. https://theparentcue.org/3-ways-to-make-sure-you-dont-miss-christmas/
Wednesday: As you drive, play a game where every time you see Christmas decorations you try and be the first to name the decoration and then yell, “Happy birthday, Jesus!”
Thursday: Advent Day 13: Mary Gives Birth to Jesus and lays Him in a manger because there is no room for them anywhere else. Make room for your neighbors by choosing a night to invite just one or two neighbor families over for coffee and dessert.
Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/288552350
Saturday: Cuddle up with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for another great day being [child’s name]’s mom/dad. I pray she/he will understand how special Jesus is. He really is the best friend ever. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
