Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, August 18, 2019. This is considered week three of the August curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: In today’s Bible story, Jesus tells a story about building a house on rock or sand to teach us about living God’s way. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Grab a small bag and go on a nature walk. Encourage your child to look for rocks. When you’re done, look at the rock collection together. Talk about how rocks are strong. Jesus said when we live God’s way, it’s like building a house on strong ground.
Tuesday: We think there are five principles that will help you as a parent navigate through a variety of different seasons. https://theparentcue.org/5-parenting-principles/
Wednesday: As you drive, take turns finishing the sentence, “The Bible is better than _______.” End with, “The Bible is better than gold, because it teaches us that God made us, God loves us, and Jesus wants to be our friend forever!”
Thursday: As summer winds down, take some time to sit together as a family and look through pictures you took of your adventures. Swipe through the camera roll on your phone or print some pictures out to make a family photo book together.
Friday: Don’t miss this month’s podcast to help parents do family better! Listen to Parent Cue Live! http://theparentcue.org/parentcuelive/
Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for the Bible so we can know how Jesus lived. Help [child’s name] and I live and love like Jesus, so we can live our best life. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
