Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting August 11, 2019

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here.  The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, August 11, 2019. This is considered week two of the August curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Today’s Bible story was about how God loved us so much He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever. Watch the video on the App

Monday: Make cookies with your child to give to someone he/she loves. While the cookies are baking, talk about how God loved us so much He gave us His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever.

Tuesday:  You’re often managing the tension between trying to make your child into the best human they can possibly be and wanting to preserve and influence your relationship as best you can.

Wednesday: As you drive, take turns naming friends. End by saying, “And Jesus is our friend! God loves us so much, He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever!”

Thursday:  With school starting back up, it’s the perfect time to test out some easy science experiments as a family. Grab a 2-liter of soda and some Mentos (along with any other supplies you need after you research ideas) and become mad scientists together.

Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video:

Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, Your teachings are worth more than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. Thank You for the people who wrote the Bible so we can know Jesus wants to be our friend forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
