Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here. The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest. Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word. These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality. These posts should start going out on Sunday, April 7, 2019. This is considered week one of the April curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.
Facebook and Twitter:
Sunday: Jesus showed us how to be a good friend and serve others when He washed the disciples’ feet. Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6
Monday: Go outside and let your child color his feet with sidewalk chalk. Next, give him a wet wipe and tell him to wash his feet. Talk about how Jesus wanted to show His friends how to be a good friend, so guess what He did: He washed their feet!
Tuesday: Parenting is a conundrum of the happiest moments of your life mixed with ones that make you want to run from the room screaming. But there’s hope: https://theparentcue.org/hope-on-a-napkin/
Wednesday: When you go into your child’s room this month, smile and say, “Happy Easter, [child’s name]! Jesus is alive and He wants to be your friend forever!”
Thursday: You’re not likely to get the encouragement you need from your kids, so make it a priority to #WidenTheCircle & connect with other parents.
Friday: Your child is learning the song “Doesn’t Matter.” Download it so you can sing along at home! http://bit.ly/HHHooray
Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for another day being [child’s name]’s mom/dad. Help us choose to be a good friend to others the way Jesus is a good friend to us. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
