Social Media Plan for Reaching Parents Starting April 14, 2019

Here is the First Look Social Media Plan for influencing parents to interact with their preschoolers. If you missed the first post explaining our plan, please click here.  The following information will be 7 tweets/Facebook posts, 2 pictures or ideas for Instagram, and 2 articles to pin on Pinterest.  Feel free to use any and all of this information but don’t feel tied to these updates word for word.  These are simply examples that you could copy and paste if you wanted or you can add your own personality.  These posts should start going out on Sunday, April 14, 2019. This is considered week two of the April curriculum. If you have any questions, suggestions, or even content that other people could use to help influence parents for this week then please leave your comments below the post.

Sunday: We learned about when Jesus entered Jerusalem and all the people praised Him by waving palm branches and shouting, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus!” Watch the video on the App http://bit.ly/2ijFJc6

Monday: Grab a favorite stuffed friend or two and go outside. Pick a small branch or even just a single leaf and have your own Palm Sunday praise party! Walk around the yard together and say, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus!”

Tuesday: How do you make Jesus the most important part of Easter? Here are a few other simple, but meaningful, ways to celebrate the true story of Easter with your kids: https://theparentcue.org/4-meaningful-ways-to-celebrate-easter-with-your-preschooler/

Wednesday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, thank You for giving us friends. Thank You for (name some of your child’s friends). Most of all, thank You for our good friend Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Thursday:  Celebrate the true story of Easter. Plan a special meal with neighbors, friends, or family. As you prepare the meal, talk about how Jesus had a special meal with His friends before He went away and then breakfast with His friends after He came back.

Friday: Enjoy doing the memory verse hand motions at home with this video: https://vimeo.com/304437678

Saturday: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, we want to praise You for being SO good. You gave us the best gift ever when You gave us Your Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus! We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
