Have you ever used a compass to show you which way to go? They’re great for helping you on a hike, but not as great when we’re trying to figure out which way to go in life. We need the Bible for that.
This month, we’re going to start our ride through the Bikes and Trikes theme as we teach our preschoolers that the Bible tells us which way to go. How wonderful would it be if our preschoolers grew up using the Bible as their compass as they ride through life!
So, get geared up to hop on your bike or trike so you can spend the next two months with your preschoolers learning that the Bible tells me which way to go.
The Welcome Center and Hallway
Preschoolers love anything with wheels, and bikes and trikes are no exception. Fill your halls with roads for them to “ride” on using butcher paper or road tape. Add actual bikes, trikes, or big wheels to fill corners and stage spaces. Hang discarded wheels from the ceiling and decorate doors with tire track marks. Remember, this is a two-month theme so have fun with it!
Cover your welcome center tables with themed tablecloths. Add some small cones to show parents where to go. How about a colorful flag bunting like those that can be found at race tracks?
Visit the June/July 2018 Bikes and Trikes board on Pinterest for more ideas on decorating your environments! We have additional ideas for those of you doing the Family Experience this summer on the Bikes and Trikes Family Experience board.
Fill your stage with all manners of bikes and trikes and their accessories. Don’t forget orange cones, flags, and road signs to add pops of colors to your stage space.
