Setting the Stage – Anchors Away (August 2018)

When you think about it, there are tons of different ways we can go in life. And, they can all sound like the right way at the same time. Our kids are going to grow up with more choices than ever on which way to go. Every day, they will have to decide if they are going to go this way or that way. Is this the right way, or is that the right way?

That’s where we come in! We have the opportunity to begin teaching our children that God’s way is perfect. In fact, GOD’S way is the ONLY way that is 100% the RIGHT way every, single time! Not my way. Not your way.  God’s way!

The Welcome Center and Hallway
We’re moving from land to sea this month! Use the environment art provided to fill your space with fun, nautical images. Create a wall-size boat on one wall with butcher and construction paper. Hang life preservers and plastic anchors near doors for a nautical pop.

Cover your welcome center tables with themed tablecloths. Add some rope as a banner and a plastic anchor to the front. A silver bucket with a life preserver or anchor graphic to hold pens would be a fun touch!

The Stage
Add a fun, cardboard boat and anchor to your stage this month. Use blue fabric and tulle to create waves around the boat or across the front of your stage. Why not hang a life preserver or nautical themed pennants from on the walls?
